EZ-Link Test Cards To Expire In 15 April
On 15 April 2009, all the test cards (grey) will expire. If you are using the test cards, you will begin to receive a letter from TransitLink regarding that the upcoming expiration on 1 April. To avoid the system disruption and data, we strongly recommend that you must exchange the cards only at TransitLink Ticket Offices.

Q1: My EZ-Link card has Bank GIRO/Credit Card top-up facilities in the card, do I also need to exchange the cards at the same time?
Yes. Exchange of EZ-Link cards can only be done between 1 April and 15 April, after that test cards will expire.
Q2. Are there any refund of test cards if retained at TransitLink Ticket Office?
No. The amount of test cards will be transferred over to the new cards.
Q3. What will happen after the cards had expired after 15 April?
After 15 April 2009, commuters who continue using test cards will be able to pay cash fares instead of EZ-Link fares. However, a grace period will end at 28 May 2009 (Thursday) after which the cards cannot be used. A refund will be given at the general ticketing machines, and cannot be exchanged at TransitLink Ticket Office. It will be slotted into the card component.

Due to the swine flu, Transport for Singapore will set up tables to do temperature taking. All staff and passengers have been reminded to up their hygiene levels in the wake of the outbreak. Travel advisories have also been sent out to advise against travel to affected countries.
Passengers will not need to tap the EZ-Link card as the ticket machines had to left open. They are required to show the card to the table so that they can travel to the platforms. If not, they will go back to the passenger service centre to buy new EZ-Link card. Trains will start disinfecting soon.

Lorong Rusuk, Lorong Serambi to close
With effect from 20 November 2010, Lorong Rusuk and Lorong Serambi will be closed. This will be due to SAF, needing more space for Murai Camp.
Punggol Expressway opens
Punggol Expressway, will open from 6 December 2010. At the same time, it will run from Punggol Central to the new Punggol Checkpoint, and there will be Pasir Gudang.

New Route: Woodlands - Admiralty - Resorts World Sentosa
Temporary Service Disruption
1. The public is advised that there will not be any train services from Jurong East to Clementi on 4/5 September 2010. This is due to the installation of LTA's turnout installation works at the affected stretch.
2. There are possible alternative routes:
a. Alternative train routes
Commuters can either use Ulu Pandan Line or North South Line to Jurong East, and use Ulu Pandan Line again to Joo Koon.
Train frequency for the Ulu Pandan Line will be increased from 8 minutes to 4 minutes all day. North South Line will be increased from 4 - 5 minutes to all 4 minutes all day.
East West Line will not run services, west of Clementi.
b. Existing bus routes
Commuters can still take public transport bus routes.
c. 3 new bus routes
JES, JEV and JEW will be operating on the period of 4 & 5 September. During this period, about 30 buses will be deployed, 10 in each route, with 3 spares. Buses operating will be from Thames Travel, with some from the Youth Olympic Games and First Western.
3. Posters will be put up at all houses, bus interchanges, train stations and train stores.

Will official light-up on 11 November 2010, by Raffles Girls' School students. It will end on 5 January 2011, and don't miss the Orchard Road Season Package from 11 November 2010 to 5 January 2011.
Christmas & New Year Booklet
The Christmas & New Year Booklet will officially come out on 21 November 2010. Train services will be 24-hour on 24 December, 25 December, 31 December and 1 January for the MRT and Overground (except Ulu Pandan Line). All LRTs will have their trains extended to 2am all day. Buses will be as per normal.
