• Do not attract the attention of would-be thieves.
• Ensure that your bag is properly secured. Place them in front or within view while shopping or walking.
• Never leave your valuables unattended while shopping or ordering food. Get a trusted friend or colleague to watch over your belongings if need be.
Police would also like to advise revellers and shoppers to be vigilant against opportunists who might commit molest in crowds. Most of these molest cases happen in crowded areas where the suspect would touch the victim and move away. In some, the suspect would spray foam onto the victim and commit molest in the process. Police would not hesitate to take serious actions to spray foam to commit crime or cause nuisance.
The public can minimise opportunities for criminals to commit molest by following these tips:
• Be wary of strangers who approach you in crowded areas
• Stay close to your friends or move around in groups when in crowded places
• Avoid contact with unruly crowds

Precautionary measures to cope with Moscow bombings (1 April)

Precautionary measures to cope with Moscow bombings
1. Due to Moscow bombings on 28 March 2010 (3/28), security had to be stepped up with tightened security. As such, security guards will be normally stationed at the MRT, LRT and Overground stations to prevent chaosity similar to Moscow.
2. Some of them were taking photos and videos in MRT, LRT and Overground as such with the Film Office people. To prevent that, Angeline had decided to ban photography and filming in MRT, LRT and Overground for the whole period. Any person who get caught will be handed over to the security guards and will be sent to the police. The restricted places to film or take photos is located at the paid areas or in the trains.
3. It will still be advisable to film at buses and trams because there were no terrorism activities in buses and trams. It is also advisable to film at Circle Line Discovery on 4 April 2010 only.
4. As such, the security service, called SG Security, has been introduced to prevent terrorism activities for the Moscow.
5. If you want to take photos and videos, please ask the Film Office + Get extra copy for the category form (Please cancel terrorism.) Do it at your own risk from now onwards until further notice.

Subsequently this was eased on 9 April 2010 with Titan gates made on the news and some of them even take pictures during the Circle Line opening.

Their buses were withdrawn in phases from January 2010 and will end in 5 July 2010.

Arriva has a plan...... - 5 August 2010

Arriva has a plan.......
Buses can run parallel to MRT lines, can bring you to new places, schools and reduction of overcrowding in buses

Currently, bus route 670 runs from Tampines all the way to Orchard Road and Clarke Quay, and has more usage with tourists in Orchard Road. 673 runs from Nanyang Girls all the way to Kampong Glam, which is operated by Anglican Buses.
Also, route 675 goes from HarbourFront to Tampines, and it was extended to Resorts World Sentosa, while 444 tooks a lot of congestion from Simei to Kembangan. As such, Ping Yi Secondary School has also allowed the bus route PY to go from Bedok to Ping Yi Secondary School to reduce a lot of congestion there. Leow Wan Er has decided 'we're working on other routes that they may reduce congestion'.
We will be looking on the new route: 678, from Tanjong Pagar West; via Kampong Bahru Road, Jalan Bukit Merah, Queensway, Commonwealth Drive, Commonwealth Drive, Commonwealth Avenue, Ghim Moh Road, Ulu Pandan Road, Clementi Road, Upper Bukit Timah Road, Woodlands Road all the way to Woodlands Centre Road. Either they may ran route 678 as a peak hour service or not?
We have take a look and increasing their serious congestion on the city. Our tackling measures include 402 has to be shortened to TPS at Tampines, T32 to be discontinued, 452 to be shortened to Tampines Blk 123; their cross-city services are so troublesome. So, passengers can transfer from 452, to Tramlink 2, without increasing congestion.
391 from Blk 722 to Simei has been taking in 7 to 10 people. Even with a midibus, it can still be the same.
Bus operator is in the interest of operating the new route which will run parallel to Overground, the heavily congested and old line; from Tanjong Pagar West or East Tanjong Pagar all the way to Woodlands Checkpoint.
